For this article, the editor gave me some guidance on the looks of the illustrations, in addition to Hajime Sorayama and the Ghost in the Shell comics, the björk video clip “All is Full of Love” was the main source of inspiration. I wish I had more compositional ingenuity to combine the black and white shapes of the robots with the article body of text.
Anyway, it was a cool job to do. Unfortunately, I can’t remember what “ERP” was about.
Here I used basic 3D shapes to create a perspective reference for this scene. I know it wasn’t really necessary, since it’s a basic shot not a cityscape, but I was looking forward to using 3D and 2D together.
To this day, I am a terrible modeler…
