Frota – January – 2005
Trying to simulate an ink drawing with digital means isn’t a good idea. The charm of the real materials isn’t achieved, and we are left with a lost opportunity. Anyway, this job was about the bureaucracy stamping monster. Like a Kraken it devours your time and patience.

This one is just a couple of vignettes for an article, nothing fancy. Watercolors and ink are made for each other.

Super Especial – October – 2004
I was commissioned to do pencil illustrations for this article about the LOTR books. The result fell short of my expectations due to my inability to derive from the original material, I couldn’t copy the actors from pictures due to copyright. I wish I had more time to work on these to create something more…

Brasil Sustentável – September – 2004
I was still doing pencil sketches for digital jobs back then. This is not a problem but took time to digitalize. On another note, I must apologize to the fruits on that tree. They deserved a little more affection.

4Rodas – September – 2004
I “almost” always prefer my first attempt to any study I do. After so many years, I am still trying to fix this routine. Maybe there is no fix, just acceptance…
